Wednesday Crush

1. Shaving Kit Supplies' Musical Jewelry Box—and about everything else in their 19th century apothecary-style shop. Not all items are vintage—their handmade English garden trug is useful outside or inside (it would be a godsend to my disastrously organized desk). They've also collected a menagerie of tiny sculpted animals, including this brass reindeer, which is mine. You can't have it.

2. Keenan Cummings' Field Study put together Inadvertant Haiku, which combines the (often dreary) news with gorgeous, bold illustrations and—you guessed it—haikus. For the image above? Famous hospital closes / Blizzard of therapy, does / Vets heal, adjust, bond—inspired by this sad NPR story. (Shop)

3. Sharon Montrose isn't new to the world of blogger adoration, and I've reserved a huge chunk of wall for her baby animals collection. But it's her brand-new baby bobcat photo that's got my heart today. Especially its teeny curled ear hair. It makes me want a bobcat, not a cat, even if it may not make my landlord very happy. Check out the rest of her prints in her shop. (And get the large sizes, if you can afford it—what better way to wake up than staring at a thin-necked baby lamb? Perhaps staring at an actual lamb.)

4. I spotted Besotted Brand on my favorite-y fave blog ever, Creature Comforts. Developed by Miss B of Besotted Blog, the shop sells stamps, DIY stationery—and the crème de la crème of fancypants letter-writing: the ultimate stationery gift set. And when Miss B says “ultimate,” she means ultimate: the kit features a gorgeous wooden box with nine compartments, five stamps and a full alphabet set, tags, envelopes, shipping tags. It's my birthday in a month. Just saying.
